Read more...In cruise, we are flying at a constant mach speed. As the airplane get lighter (fuel consumption), the power setting is changed (reduced). So there is no fixed N1 or EPR setting for cruise. Also depending of the altitude, we will need more or less N1 or EPR to maintain the same mach speed. Hope this can help ! JFL.
